Dear precision auto, I am writing to formally log a complaint regarding the terrible customer service I experienced today at the Precision Auto location. I originally brought my car in to have my brakes checked. The manager initially presented me with an extremely high quote of around $1,200 to $1,300. When I hesitated, he pushed a predatory financing option on me, which I declined after looking into the details. Later, he claimed your team couldn't get my front tires off without a key, and tried to charge me an additional $80 to replace the lug nuts. I decided to leave to get the key myself from the shop that originally serviced them, which only cost me $5. Before I left to get the key, the front desk receptionist—who was incredibly sweet, professional, and understanding of my budget—worked with me to lower the quote to a reasonable price of around $814. We both agreed on this, and I left to retrieve the wheel key with the understanding that the service would be done at that price. However, upon my return with the key, the manager coldly informed me that he would not honor the price the receptionist and I had agreed upon. His attitude throughout all of our interactions was inc

Amazing management. Brought in a used car for an inspection. It was last minute, so we really appreciated the courtesy and efficiency. The inspection was extremely high-quality.

They have a great deal on full synthetic oil change plus a tire rotation. It’s so cheap it doesn’t make sense to do it myself. Interacted with different people who work there and everyone has been nice and never tried to up-charge. Only time they suggested fixing something was when they caught something another shop had done wrong (installed a new pad that had a chunk missing and another one wasn’t wearing right). It was warrantied from the other shop, but had it not been Precision quoted me for half of what the other shop would charge.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a vehicle repair shop. I originally brought my car in for a simple diagnostic test and a coolant service what followed was days of unexpected charges, poor communication, and work that wasn't done right. After the diagnostic, I was called and told I needed a wheel sensor. Fine. But when I arrived to pick up my car, I was told IN PERSON that my thermostat was now sticking, something that was not an issue when I dropped it off. That was another couple hundred dollars added on. The next day, I get another call saying my radiator is cracked and everything is leaking. My car was NOT leaking before I brought it in. When I said I'd have it towed elsewhere, they suddenly offered to install the radiator for free. Convenient. I called the following day and was told my car was ready. I even asked the front desk woman directly, "There won't be any surprises, right?" She said no. There was a surprise. I pulled out of the parking lot, hit my brakes, and my car was shaking badly. Had the best experience! Kenny, Shauna, and others were so concerned and did all they could to help me get back to Virginia. Treated me and my dog like we were family! Kenny went above and beyond trying to figure out my cars issues. We know what diagnostic test showed and changed out sensors. More is going on , but I needed to get back home. He was really concerned and checked multiple things. All I can say is this business in Winston Salem NC is awesome. My vehicle is not fixed for simple reason I’m traveling and couldn’t stay until Monday. He along with another whose name I don’t know showed me what to do if it happens on way home. If I lived close I would definitely use them. I honestly have never been treated this well and the concerned shown!
